Microorganism package:
The added natural soil microorganisms, include several common bacteria and fungal species that have critical functions in maintaining optimum soil health. The blended consortia of specific microbes each play individual roles in the establishment of a healthy soil microflora. Bacteria, such as the included Bacillus spp. can enhance plant growth, by both plant stimulation and soil nutrient solubilisation, as well as promoting soil organic matter decomposition and aggregation for a healthy soil. Pseudomonas, another bacteria species, joins the bacillus in out-competing pathogenic microbial organisms.

Carbohydrates:
Carbohydrates serve as energy source for the soil microorganisms in order to increase microbial activity.

Carbon:
About 50% of a plant is made up of carbon, mostly synthesised from CO2 during photosynthesis. Carbon is the basis for all building blocks of life and essential for healthy soils.

Amino acids:
Amino acids are the building blocks for plant proteins. The plant will combine amino acids to form peptide chains and later complex proteins. All the processes in the plant like tissue development, growth, recovery from injury and self-defence require proteins.

The turf plant can synthesise all the needed amino acids from the mineral nutrients it takes in. But the plant can absorb amino acids through the roots as well, saving the energy to produce them itself, especially in times of plant stress. Over time, microorganisms in the rootzone will break down amino acids into their components, making nutrients readily plant available.

TourTurf® Organic Autumn is an organic mineral fertiliser with both slow and fast release nitrogen (organic nitrogen, urea and ammonium) combined with a significant amount of phosphate and a high content of potassium.

The product also contains the microorganisms in the Bacillus spp. of Bacillus polymyxa and Pseudomonas spp., as well as magnesium, calcium, amino acids and seaweed extract.

Owing to the specific type of potassium used in the formulation, this product has the ability to prevent moss invasion on all turf areas, when applied at a higher rate. Conversely, when applied at lower application rate the product can be efficiently used as a spring starter fertiliser or an autumn feed.

Used at the highest application rate the moss will burn, dry out, turn yellow/brown and should then disappear after 2-3 weeks. However if the product is applied in combination with TourTurf® LSG Lawnsand Granules, and used together with usual good cultural practices, then the effects can be faster.

Please note that the use of this product should not stain patio tiles or cement as there is only 0.1% iron (Fe) in the formulation.
