TourTurf® Organic Green & Pitch is an organic-mineral NPK-fertiliser for all greens, tees and sports pitches. Especially designed to meet the *MLSN guideline concept. Each granule contains NPK from all sources and is enriched with magnesium, ensuring a steady, parallel release of nutrients to meet turfgrass needs.

All NPK macronutrients have a phased release pattern. There are 3 types of nitrogen: quick-release ammonium, slower urea, and slow-release organic nitrogen. Phosphorus is mostly water-soluble, with a longer-release component. Potassium comes from mineral and organic sources, extending its availability.

This product is more than just NPK! It contains a superior microorganism package, including Bacillus spp. and Pseudomonas sp., as well as amino acids, magnesium, iron and seaweed extract. The beneficial microorganisms can help to release nutrients in the soil, and they compete with harmful pathogens causing turf diseases (e.g. dollar spot). Easily digestible organic carbon feeds beneficial soil microbes. Mineralisation slightly acidifies the soil, improving nutrient use efficiency, especially in high-pH conditions.

Our microorganism strains are fully traceable via genomic analysis (DNA fingerprint).

TourTurf® Organic Green & Pitch is a mini-granular organic-mineral turf fertiliser for all greens, tees and sports pitches.The product’s specific balance of NPK nutrients is designed to meet the MLSN guideline concept (Minimal Level of Sustainable Nutrition) and advice from STERF (Scandinavian Turfgrass and Environment Research Foundation) securing enough available nutrients for the plant.

All the NPK macronutrients have a phased release pattern:

Three types of nitrogen:

  • Largest amount in ammonium form for quick release
  • A slightly smaller amount of urea
  • Organic nitrogen, which is released slowly


Phosphorous:

  • Mainly water-soluble (readily available)
  • A slow-release component


Two sources of potassium:

  • Mineral Potassium
  • Organic Potassium from vinasse (slow-release)


Being homogeneous in its formulation, each granule contains NPK from each of the different sources, plus magnesium. All the nutrients are steadily released at the same time and match the ongoing needs of the turfgrass plants.

All the minerals in TourTurf® Organic Green & Pitch are formulated with the additional components seaweed and a bacteria pack, providing valuable carbon and carbohydrates, contributing to the soils nutrient holding capability, improving nutrient release patterns and soil microbial activation, further improving nutrient use efficiency (NUE).

Seaweed:
Contains carbohydrates, amino acids, plant hormones, micronutrients and proteins.

Microorganism package:
The added natural soil microorganisms, include several common bacteria and fungal species that have critical functions in maintaining optimum soil health. The blended consortia of specific microbes each play individual roles in the establishment of a healthy soil microflora.

Bacteria, such as the included Bacillus spp. can enhance plant growth, by both plant stimulation and soil nutrient solubilisation, as well as promoting soil organic matter decomposition and aggregation for a healthy soil. Pseudomonas, another bacteria species, joins the bacillus in out-competing pathogenic microbial organisms.

Carbohydrates:
Carbohydrates serve as energy source for the soil microorganisms in order to increase microbial activity.

Carbon:
About 50% of a plant is made up of carbon, mostly synthesised from CO2 during photosynthesis. Carbon is the basis for all building blocks of life and essential for healthy soils.

Amino acids:
Amino acids are the building blocks for plant proteins. The plant will combine amino acids to form peptide chains and later complex proteins. All the processes in the plant like tissue development, growth, recovery from injury and self-defence require proteins.The turf plant can synthesise all the needed amino acids from the mineral nutrients it takes in. But the plant can absorb amino acids through the roots as well, saving the energy to produce them itself, especially in times of plant stress. Over time, microorganisms in the rootzone will break down amino acids into their components, making nutrients readily plant available.
