TourTurf® FWA Fairway Iron Aid + T-Factor is a liquid N-fertiliser with iron, sulphur and triacontanol. The product is made of a synergistic blend of urea nitrogen and an effective iron source. The product provides turf nutrition and its pH of 3 helps to acidify the soil profile. The pH of the solution in the spray tank will stay at a low level even when diluted with water. FWA is designed to improve the colour and health of turf on greens, tees, fairways and football pitches.

Iron is an essential minor nutrient for turf and is used by the plant for the synthesis of chlorophyll. The addition of triacontanol results in increased chlorophyll production, resulting in a higher photosynthesis output and plant growth. Triacontanol significantly improves recovery from disease or mechanical stress. It plays an essential role in alleviating plant stress during times of disease.

The use of TourTurf® FWA Fairway Iron Aid promotes a dark green colour, ideal for cutting the fairways and leaving a pattern. Iron is in the ferrous form, making it more readily available. This makes it an ideal product to use with major golf and soccer events. The nitrogen is in the form of urea, which is readily available to the plant and has low scorch potential. It promotes some additional growth without excessive fertilisation. The conditions for recovery after fungal diseases, can be improved with the use of FWA as an acidifying product, and even further with the use of a wetting agent like TourTurf® ECO.

What is Triacontanol?
Triacontanol is an organic and naturally occurring fatty alcohol belonging to the class of compounds known as phytohormones. It is found naturally in various plant species.

Triacontanol is an endogenous plant growth regulator and facilitates numerous plant metabolic activities leading to better growth and development. Triacontanol increases the chlorophyll production, resulting in higher photosynthesis output and plant growth.

TourTurf® FWA Fairway Iron Aid + T-Factor is well suited for incorporation into a cultural management practice, as it is designed to lower the soil pH over time. A lower soil pH, between 5.5 and 6.5, is a better environment for growing finer turfgrass species.

Directions for Use:

  • FWA + T-Factor can be used on all types of sports and amenity turf
  • It can be applied all year round
  • Cut grass before application
  • For continuous soil acidification, use regularly
  • Repeat every 4 weeks or as necessary
  • Watering in is optional but not essential


Monthly applications to improve the playing surface:

  • Rapid Green-Up without excessive foliar growth
  • Natural colour, year-round
  • Helps to harden turf, making it less susceptible to abiotic stress
  • Will not interact with Black Layer in waterlogged soils
