TourTurf® CSG Calcium Sulphate Granules 0-0-0 + 20% CaO (Greens Grade)
TourTurf® CSG Calcium Sulphate Granules is a calcium fertiliser with sulphur. As calcium has a greater binding potential to soil particles than sodium, it can replace the sodium ions attached to soil particles. TourTurf® CSG is a finely ground, pure gypsum mini-granule. The granules rapidly dissolve into the soil profile when watered in and deliver a high level of readily available calcium, sulphur and magnesium to the soil. TourTurf® CSG can be used in a program to remove sodium and bicarbonates from the soil profile.
TourTurf® CSG Calcium Sulphate Granules provides 38 % sulphur in the form of plant available sulphate. It also provides 28 % calcium, which remediates high sodium levels, improves soil structure, aeration, and drainage. The results are less compaction, and increased water infiltration. TourTurf® CSG helps increase the rooting depth and stabilises organic matter. Calcium, sulphur and magnesium are vital nutrients and are required by turf for improved growth and strong cell walls. Use one application of TourTurf® CSG if you want to increase soil calcium and your soil test report shows a deficiency. No change in pH should be expected from a gypsum application.
TourTurf® CSG is a sustainable product made from 95 % recycled, circular material. More than 90 % of the product consists of cleaned and milled Calcium Sulphate, a byproduct of the construction industry. The product contains dust-binding Calcium Lignosulphonate. The Calcium Lignosulphonate is from plant origin, a byproduct of the processing of wood pulp.

Why use Gypsum?
Gypsum can supply the soil with calcium, that is, Ca ions, but will not change the pH value. If the soil is too acidic, you must use lime if you want to raise the pH.
Gypsum harmonises the cation ratios of the soil. If magnesium (Mg) accounts for more than 15% of the cation exchange capacity, the structure suffers on very heavy clay fairways. Gypsum fertilisation can displace excess Mg. The free binding sites are then occupied by Ca. This improves the soil structure.
Benefits:
- Reduces salt stress
- Improves seed germination
- Improves soil structure
- Stops water run-off and erosion
- Improves water-use efficiency
- Makes it possible to use low-quality irrigation water
- Decreases heavy metal toxicity
