TourTurf® HPE Herbal Plant Extract is an organic liquid sulphur fertiliser. Due to its high contents of sulphur and amino acids, it can help to reduce abiotic stress and increase resiliency. TourTurf® HPE Herbal Plant Extract supports the natural ability of plants to regenerate, alleviates any sulphur deficiencies and promotes physiological processes during plant stress. It strengthens, feeds and revitalises turf.

TourTurf® HPE offers several benefits, primarily due to its high content of sulphur and amino acids. The amino acids play a crucial role in protein synthesis and metabolic processes in turf. They act as building blocks for vital enzymes and structural proteins, promoting vigorous growth and recovery. This can lead to improved root development and enhanced nutrient uptake, resulting in a denser, more robust turf that has a higher tolerance to wear and tear. Additionally, amino acids can enhance soil microbial activity. This can help to improve soil structure and nutrient availability.

Phenolic acids are natural compounds that plants produce to help with growth, and development. These substances are especially important when the plant is under stress—like from pests, diseases, drought, or heat. As part of the plant’s secondary metabolites, they support key physiological processes that help turf stay healthy and resilient.

Amino acids:
Amino acids are the building blocks for plant proteins. The plant will combine amino acids to form peptide chains and later complex proteins. All the processes in the plant like tissue development, growth, recovery from injury and self-defence require proteins.The turf plant can synthesise all the needed amino acids from the mineral nutrients it takes in. But the plant can absorb amino acids through the roots as well, saving the energy to produce them itself, especially in times of plant stress.Over time, microorganisms in the rootzone will break down amino acids into their components, making nutrients readily plant available.
