TourTurf® SUS StandUp Silicon is a liquid K-fertiliser with silicon. SUS promotes the growth and development of turf during periods of plant stress and drought. The product provides greater strength in the cell walls and stiffer leaves responsible for the faster ball roll on greens, greater tolerance to environmental impacts, as well as reduced sensitivity of the plant to pests and fungal diseases.

During heat and drought, you can tank mix TourTurf® SUS with TourTurf® APS or TourTurf® HPE to benefit from synergistic effects. Silicon can improve plant turgor and improve water use efficiency, delaying wilt. In combination with the effects of seaweed in alleviating abiotic stress, stimulating physiological processes like antioxidant production and improving plant growth will reduce stress and aid in quick recovery.

Plants most easily absorb silicon in the form of Ortho silicic acid, soluble in the soil and formed from weathered silicon-based minerals, or as potassium silicate as in TourTurf® SUS. The product is formulated with a superior wetting agent and seaweed extract, improving and speeding up the uptake into the plant over leaves and roots.

Silicon absorbed into the epidermis and cell walls promotes upright leaves and a thicker, stronger cuticle, reducing water loss. This effective method avoids nanotechnology carriers and the risks of nanoparticles in open fields.
