TourTurf® TSA Turf Surface Accelerator

8339

TourTurf® TSA Turf Surface Accelerator is an innovative spreader and penetrant that will boost the performance of TourTurf® TSC Turf Surface Conditioner under difficult growing conditions where moss or silver moss invasion on golf greens is a problem. Use TourTurf® TSA to improve the soil and tissue penetration.

Once established on a green, moss is difficult to control and challenging to get rid of. Silver moss, by its nature, develops well in dry and sandy soil. Therefore, often a problem and nuisance on tees and greens.

TourTurf® TSA is designed to be tank-mixed with TourTurf® TSC to reduce invasion of moss and silver moss and product penetration through the surface, ensuring contact throughout the moss structure.

This optimises deposition, contact coverage and aids retention of the product, which in turn, changes the root zone environment to discourage moss.

TourTurf® TSA provides extreme performance characteristics like reduction of surface tension and spreading. The reduction in surface tension gives the super wetting performance. It increases the droplet spread at the leaf surface by up to 50% after 60 seconds.

Product details

TourTurf® TSA provides extreme performance characteristics like reduction of surface tension and spreading. The reduction in surface tension gives the super wetting performance. It increases the droplet spread at the leaf surface by up to 50% after 60 seconds.

The reduced surface tension increases the chances that the product will remain on the plant surface, minimizing run-off or wash-off following rainfall.

The challenges
Silver moss, presents several challenges in professional turf settings like golf courses and sports fields:

  • It competes with grass for space, light, and nutrients, leading to weaker turf.
  • Thrives in moist conditions, often indicating poor drainage or over-watering.
  • Prefers acidic soil, which can hinder grass growth and require soil adjustments.
  • Can impact the appearance and usability of sports surfaces, such as affecting ball roll on golf greens.
  • It’s hard to remove once established, and controlling it often requires labor-intensive methods/treatments.

Managing silver moss effectively usually involves improving turf care practices like proper watering and drainage, adjusting soil pH, and, if necessary, using selective treatments.
