TourTurf® AFL Anti-Foam Liquid
TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid works by effectively destabilising and greatly reducing foaming in the tank that occurs when mixing turf care products.
When TourTurf® AFL is applied to a foam, it spreads through the bubble walls which causes them to thin out. This process causes the foam bubbles to spread, further reducing their thickness until eventually the bubble walls rupture due to stress. With the structure broken, the resultant effect is the quick disappearance of the foam.
TourTurf® AFL gives a more uniform mixing and application of product while giving a reduced risk of damage to machinery or spray equipment due to foam overflow or accidental spillage of products during mixing. No time is wasted waiting for foam to settle, which can cause delays to mixing procedures.
TourTurf® AFL can be used with all types of spraying equipment, including booms, towbehind and backpack sprayers.
TourTurf® AFL may be used in tank mixtures of liquid fertilisers, pesticides, surfactants and any other product for which foaming is possible. For best results, add Anti-foam to the spray mixture when the tank is half full, to prevent foam from reaching the tank opening.

Product details
TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid is a water-soluble spray tank additive designed to prevent foam formation when mixing foaming products in all types of tanks.
Why Use TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid
Many turf maintenance products will form foam when diluted with water, particularly wetting agent products, organic products and other products that contain a surfactant. Controlling this foam can sometimes present a challenge when mixing products in the spray tank before application. Excessive foam reduces the efficiency of the spray operation. Using Anti Foam will significantly reduce the foaming effect of any turf management product and allow for much more manageable mixing procedures.
How The Product Works
TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid works by effectively destabilising and ‘breaking’ the bubble walls that are present in stable foam. When TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid is applied to a foam, it spreads through the bubble walls which causes them to thin out. This process causes the foam bubbles to spread, further reducing their thickness until eventually the bubble walls rupture due to stress. With the structure broken, the resultant effect is the quick disappearance of the foam.
Product Use and Benefits
By using TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid to manage foam effectively, the following benefits can be achieved:
- A more uniform mixing and application of product.
- A reduced risk of damage to machinery or spray equipment due to foam overflow or accidental spillage of products during mixing.
- No time is wasted waiting for foam to settle, which can cause delays to mixing procedures.

TourTurf® AFL Anti-foam Liquid is a water-soluble agent that greatly reduces foam formation in tank mixtures.
Ensures that the tank does not overflow
Reduces the risk of accidental spillage of fertiliser products during mixing.
Usable with all types of spraying equipment
Including booms, tow-behind and backpack sprayers.
Non-toxic and non-corrosive
Harmless to animals and the environment. Decomposes after application.
The foam suppressor lasts for 24 hours, and should therefore only be used in tank mixtures that are to be applied on the same day.
