ELL forms a hexagonal structure that is far more effective in covering a surface area such as a soil profile. In this structure there are fewer holes than with ordinary spheroidal surfactants, meaning that more of the soil is treated with the wetting agent.TourTurf® ELL Respond® Extreme Long Lasting Wetting Agent is a unique wetting agent formulation designed to work consistently and with increased longevity within any turf rootzone.

With typically 20-35% longer wetting agent chain lengths than industry standard wetting agents, this long chain molecule in TourTurf® ELL Respond® Extreme Long Lasting Wetting Agent also has a high molecular mass which makes it resistant to being flushed out of the rootzone by irrigation water.

TourTurf® ELL Respond® Extreme Long Lasting Wetting Agent is resistant to microbial degradation in adverse climatic conditions where the temperatures are typically over 20 C.

TourTurf® ELL Respond® Extreme Long Lasting Wetting Agent is formulated to perform 3 tasks all in one product; firstly, as a wetting agent, secondly as a penetrant and thirdly as a water conservation agent.  

This formulation makes the product highly effective in a range of situations where there could be issues from ‘Dry Patch’, to irrigation irregularities, hydrophobic soils or poor water penetration due to denser thatch layers. 

The product will be effective when used either curatively or in a preventative manner, resulting in better water and fertiliser uptake by the plant.

The specific formulation gives quick penetration through the turf surface, avoiding degradation by ultraviolet light and is more resistant to microbial breakdown in hot soil temperatures during the summer.

The outcome of these factors means an increased firmness of the greens, with a more resistant surface to pitch marks and footprints.

The application rates for the product is flexible and is related to temperature and on-site individual experience.

The long chain surfactant molecules used in ELL also makes it more resistant to being broken down by microbial populations in the rootzone in hot soil/air temperatures.

The higher molecular mass surfactant in ELL reduces fast degradation of the material in the rootzone by microbial activity and temperature. However, microbes will slowly and steadily break down the surfactant molecules over a period of 4-6 weeks.

The long chain surfactant molecules used in our formulation are also resistant to being flushed out of the rootzone by irrigation water which enables the chemistry to perform consistently over a longer period of time. This ensures optimised water management within the rootzone, enabling a longer period of water conservation and stress reductionon the turf grass.

Healthier turf grass is equal to better turf quality with less need for fungicide applications.
