TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator contains advanced surfactant chemistry that specifically lowers the surface tension of the water to remove moisture away from the playing surface into the rootzone. This produces a firmer playing surface and reduces the risk of disease by reducing the surface moisture and leaf wetness, especially during times of Dollar Spot stress.
TourTurf® EPT allows for the optimum amount of moisture to be distributed evenly in the horizon and sufficient water to remain in the rootzone. Water moving down the profile will create air canals, enabling oxygen to be available deeper in the rootzone.
Use TourTurf® EPT in football stadiums and pitches during autumn and winter or before forecasted heavy rain events to keep the surface as dry as possible and avoid mechanical damage to the sod. At times, a flushing of the profile might be recommended, for example as to poor irrigation water quality or high amounts of salts and bicarbonates in the soil. Application of TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator in combination with heavy irrigation or natural rainfall will help in this flushing process.
TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator may be applied as a single application in extremely water logged conditions to aid the penetration of excessive water from the surface. TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator may be applied regularly as part of a wetting agent programme in areas of poor drainage or naturally wet areas.

Product details
TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator has three modes of action:
- Advanced surfactant chemistry that specifically lowers the surface tension of the water to remove surface moisture away from the playing surface into the rootzone. This produces a firmer playing surface and reduces the risk of disease by restricting the optimum.
- Contains penetrant surfactants that removes excess water from the rootzone through the natural water table or into drainage systems. EPT will maintain even water distribution and allow for the optimum amount of moisture to remain in the rootzone for the turf grass. Water going down the profile will enable oxygen to be available in deeper areas of the rootzone.
- At times a flushing of the profile might be recommended for example as to poor irrigation water quality.
Application of TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator in combination with heavy irrigation or natural rainfall will help in this flushing process.

Summary:
A highly effective soil penetrating wetting agent. TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator increases water infiltration into the soil profile, allowing water to percolate through the whole of the soil profile in all turf areas.
The product works throughout the rootzone profile not just in the surface layer, ensuring uniform distribution of water throughout the whole soil profile.
Ideal for application to waterlogged areas, with regular use of the product reducing the surface moisture by up to 30%.

The Danish Course Manager Kristoffer Harreby Vedel from Vejle Golfclub has taught us that the combined use of TourTurf® EDC Respond® Extreme Dew Control, TourTurf® EPT Respond® Extreme Penetrator and TourTurf® FS Autumn Zero in the wet, humid and mild Danish autumn/winter climate has helped to prevent disease very effectively (100 % disease-free without fungicides).

In the right side hand of the picture 10 litres of EPT was used together with 40 litres of STA
Excessive surface moisture and waterlogged soils can cause many issues effecting turfgrass health.
Excessive surface moisture can lead to surface algae, slime mould and provide optimumenvironmental conditions for turf grass diseases.
Waterlogged soils restricts the natural air flow of oxygen into the rootzone, this can cause anaerobic soil conditions known as black layer. This results in a toxic environment in the rootzone.
