TourTurf® EWS Respond® Extreme Warm Season features a specialised blend of wetting agent technologies, incorporating both spreading and penetrating agents. These components work synergistically to ensure even water distribution and effective treatment of highly hydrophobic rootzones. A long-lasting residual wetting agent further promotes efficient water management within the rootzone, supporting prolonged moisture retention and helping to reduce turfgrass stress.

In addition to its surfactant properties, the formulation includes linear alcohols, which are known to positively influence soil microbial activity and enhance stomatal function. By reducing stomatal size, linear alcohols help minimise transpiration losses, especially under drought conditions. This results in greater leaf water content and improved plant hydration, supporting sustainable and environmentally conscious turf management practices while maintaining high turf quality.

Oleic acid contributes to water conservation by forming a gentle barrier on the leaf surface that passively reduces excessive transpiration, functioning similarly to natural plant waxes and anti-transpirants. It enhances soil moisture retention and supports hydration within plant tissues. As a fatty acid, oleic acid also improves the suppleness of the leaf cuticle, helping to prevent cracking and brittleness during periods of drought stress.
